Baci Baci Baci Productions presents 502 Lumens Film Festival, a celebration of independent filmmaking by Louisville-based filmmakers. And because the date is so close to Halloween and Samhain, the theme is: horror.

The program includes two short films and one feature, each written, directed, and produced by Louisville filmmakers. Each of the three films approaches the horror genre from a different angle, but their shared motif is folklore — from a murderous scarecrow who inhabits a local farm in The Legend of Gourdface, to an African folk character who weaves a web in a local man’s mindspace in Anansi, to arcane Slavic spellcraft discovered by an aspiring yoga influencer in Mind Body Spirit.

The screenings will be followed by a panel discussion with the directors. 502 Lumens Film Festival will offer guests a food menu, a drink menu, an event-exclusive beverage, a local vendor marketplace, and engagement with a diverse community of cinephiles, horror aficionados, freaks, geeks, and artisans.
