She Dreams Content is a development and production company that develops female-forward content from Louisville, Kentucky. With Kentucky’s incentives and rapidly growing industry, we partner with our state’s organizations and resources to also develop the creative side of Kentucky film and TV. In addition to producing our own content, we host monthly table reads and educational quarterly project pitch sessions where actors and writers work together to develop and showcase talent in front of industry peers. Now we’re partnering with Women in Film Kentucky in our very first screenplay competition with the hopes of encouraging more diverse stories set in Kentucky.

Winners get cash plus get their script read out loud by actors at a live film & TV Industry event during a festival in Summer 2025! We have a variety of venues that we work with to schedule our readings and screenings like Gravely Brewing, 4th ST LIVE! and others.

CRITERIA 1
The story must be a narrative feature or short film or TV pilot of any genre that features a strong lead female, trans or non-binary character.

CRITERIA 2
The story must be set in or prominently feature the state of Kentucky. We anticipate that some may simply change the location on current scripts. That’s fine, but please try to research and properly describe Kentucky cities or locations accurately.
