MEET THE ARTIST
Samuel Dunning, Writer / Director / Producer
Samuel Dunning is the writer and director and one of the stars of "Canoe Dig It?", marking his feature directorial debut. Sam also wrote, produced, and starred in the short horror comedy "Rick and Ruby" in 2019, winning awards and playing at festivals all over the world before being acquired by Alter in 2021. He holds a BFA in directing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
As an award-winning actor, Sam has led multiple feature films and shorts as well as major network television productions including CBS, AMC, Fox, and more. Recent work includes the sci-fi comedy feature "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox", horror/thriller feature "Dead Whisper", Apple+'s "For All Mankind", and CBS's "The Equalizer".
Sam hails from Brunswick, Maine and splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
