2024 Flyover Film Festival
The 2024 Flyover Film Festival was a vibrant celebration of regional filmmaking, bringing together creators from Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond. Held from July 24-28, the festival featured a stellar lineup of narrative and documentary films, including shorts and feature-length works. Audiences had the unique opportunity to engage with filmmakers through post-screening Q&As, diving into the creative processes behind the films.
The highlight of the festival was the diversity of stories toldโfrom personal documentaries like "Married to Comics" by John Kinhart, offering an intimate look into the lives of Justin Green and Carol Tyler, to the gripping investigative work of "American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders" directed by Zachary Treitz. Other notable films included "No One Asked You", a powerful documentary on abortion access, and "Under the Southern Cross", which chronicled the legacy of Kentucky artist Henry L. Faulkner.
